When Arica Burger joined Fitness Lovers of Washington County, she was overweight and unhealthy.

Thanks to FLOWCo, she is still running and placing in 10K competitions five years later.

Burger noted, “I started attending FLOWCo in 2016 with the goal of learning how to run better and more accurately.” “FLOWCo provided a fantastic training plan that boosted my endurance gradually and safely.”

As part of the Washington County Wellness Initiative, the City of Bartlesville, Ascension St. John Jane Phillips, and the Washington County Health Department are sponsoring the program.

At the United States Olympic swim trials, Kate Steward of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, had the best stroke.

Arica Burger proudly displays her KLife Run the ‘Ville 10K second-place medal in Bartlesville. The fall season at Lee Lake begins on August 17 at 6 p.m.
The program is part of a bigger initiative to address Washington County’s poor health outcomes and behavior.
The couch-to-5K program is for anyone who wants to get moving and is available to people of all ages and fitness abilities.
